SNOW HILL, SEATING FEATURE (Les Jongleurs)

Plaque at the end of the seating(Snow Hill by Les Jongleurs sculpture)

In the 17th century this was the eastern limit of St. Helier. It was called La Pompe de Haut because of the public pump sited here. This semi-circular seating feature was donated by the Vingtaine in 1996 to compliment the sculpture "Les Jongleurs" by Carole Vincent erected by the Jersey Public Sculpture Trust in the same year. The plaques reads:- "SEATING DONATED BY THE VINGTAINE DE LA VILLE 1996"
